Job Description Summary
As the Field Service Representative (FSR), you will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction through service excellence and meeting the daily service repair needs of Diagnostic Imaging, Ultrasound, XRAY, and Nuclear Medicine.
Based out of Southwest Ontario, this role services Hospital and Medical Clinic sites within, but not limited to, the area between Windsor-Essex and Thames Valley (greater London). The role requires frequent travel and may necessitate occasional overnight stays away from home. Flexibility for multiple overnight stays is essential.
Important
Applicants must hold a Full Ontario or other Canadian Provincial driver’s license at the time of application. The individual must also be able to travel to and from the USA for training at our healthcare institute.
It is a condition of hire that any new employee or contract worker providing products or services to a GE Healthcare customer facility be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with proof of vaccination. "Fully vaccinated" means two doses of a Health Canada-approved vaccine, with the second dose at least 14 days prior to starting employment.

Major Responsibilities
- Provide direct technical service on customer equipment, including preventative maintenance, remedial service, installation, calibration, and field modifications.
- Complete all required documentation to meet government, business, and audit requirements.
- Provide technical support outside of normal hours and be available for on-call duties.
- Manage repair parts cycle times to meet business targets.
- Maintain customer service logs and internal service records.
- Maintain timely communication with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
- Properly maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring calibration.
- Meet Quality Management System and Environment Health and Safety standards.
- Use escalation processes to resolve service issues and conduct root cause analysis for effective problem solving.
- Participate in sales opportunities such as contract renewals and assist with revenue programs.
- Integrate into hospital culture and collaborate with hospital resources to optimize service delivery.
- Develop an advisory and consultative relationship with primary hospitals.
- Liaise with local Field Customer Team, Technical Account Manager, and Account Manager to ensure efficient service delivery within the assigned area.
Required Qualifications- Technical Diploma/Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience/training.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Service.
- Ability to travel to/from the US without restrictions.
- Proven customer service skills and effective communication across multiple levels.
- Experience in customer contact, empathy, and service.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Technical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with diverse teams and independently.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.
Desired Qualifications- Experience servicing GE Healthcare equipment and modality training.
- Experience with Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and XRAY service.
- Ability to manage difficult customer situations.
- Excellent customer communication skills.
