As a Field Service Representative (FSR), you will plan, coordinate, and perform preventive maintenance services for small capital medical equipment across Canada, supporting our Surgical, Diagnostics, and Breast & Skeletal Health divisions. Your expertise in technical troubleshooting and your proactive approach will ensure optimal equipment performance and outstanding customer satisfaction. This is a field-based role, requiring extensive travel and bilingual (French/English) proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and document preventive maintenance activities according to service protocols and manufacturer specifications.
  • Plan and coordinate service routes to maximize travel efficiency and minimize disruption to clinical operations.
  • Build strong relationships with clinical and biomedical teams at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, escalating complex issues to engineering as needed.
  • Provide feedback on product and service issues to internal stakeholders.
  • Represent Hologic with professionalism and technical confidence during all customer interactions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely service documentation within the CRM system.

Knowledge Required:

  • Strong understanding of medical equipment operation, particularly fluid management systems, diagnostics platforms, and mammography units.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards related to medical device servicing.
  • Familiarity with CRM/service management tools.
  • Working knowledge of chemistry principles and chemical handling techniques.
  • Understanding of electronic testing equipment and inventory/procurement systems.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to independently manage a dynamic, travel-heavy schedule.
  • Effective communication skills in both French and English (verbal and written).
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting proficiency.
  • Competence in technical documentation and reporting.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to interface with customers.
  • Experience with robotics, fluidics, and pneumatics preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism (French & English) required.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred; AA/AS degree and/or practical military experience considered.
