The Field Service Representative is responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of customer equipment by driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. You will participate in service & instrument sales opportunities to promote business growth.

This position reports to the Sr Area Service Manager and is part of the Equipment Services team located in Edmonton, AB Canada and will be fully remote.

What you'll do:

  1. Basic troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance and repair needs on designated equipment. Ordering and maintaining spare parts' inventory, keeping up-to-date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service reports and internal service records.
  2. Maintaining daily communication with customers and collaborating with colleagues to ensure resolution and accurate follow-up, driving customer satisfaction.
  3. Leading service delivery processes in compliance with Cytiva policies. Utilizing detailed processes and root cause analysis to resolve customer service issues.

Who you are:

  1. Bachelor's degree/ Technical Diploma in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or relevant degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other STEM field.
  2. Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment and troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
  3. Availability after hours, or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage as necessary.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  1. Ability to travel up to 50% locally and internationally (mainly to the US).
  2. Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  3. Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 35lb; unassisted and frequent bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time. Candidate must also reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

GMP manufacturing and any industry-applicable regulatory requirements.

The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
