Metso recherche un représentant du service en chantier pour coordonner et superviser les activités liées à l'équipement de traitement minier. Vous jouerez un rôle crucial dans l'entretien et l'installation, avec des déplacements nécessaires jusqu'à 80 % du temps.

Le candidat idéal devra avoir une certification de machiniste ou une expérience équivalente, au moins 5 ans d'expérience en service sur le terrain, et d'excellentes compétences en communication, en anglais et idéalement en français.

Job description

Introduction

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un représentant du service en chantier pour rejoindre notre équipe de service en chantier. Vous serez responsable de la coordination/planification et de l'exécution/supervision des activités liées à la réparation, à l'entretien et à l'installation de l'équipement de traitement minier. Votre rôle joue un rôle crucial dans les travaux d'entretien ainsi que dans la connaissance de l'équipement minier. À ce poste, vous vous rapporterez au directeur du service en chantier. Ce poste est principalement situé à Sudbury, North Bay, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Quebec, Prince George, Colombie‑Britannique, mais nous sommes heureux de proposer des modalités de travail flexibles, y compris des options hybrides. Cependant, il implique jusqu'à 80 % de déplacements sur les sites des clients.

Responsibilities

• Prior to arrival at a field assignment, study, plan, and prepare for field work based on the detailed scope of work, drawings, company procedures, specific instructions, etc.
• Work in liaison with the various technical support staff within Metso’s organization.
• Provide advisory services during installation, checkout, start-up, and commissioning.
• Coordinate field activity with the customer and/or the customer’s contractor(s).
• Assist the customer in executing the work to maintain the field schedule.
• Advise mill or contractor's crew in safely performing maintenance, repairs, and upgrade work.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and assist with corrective action and repairs.
• Recommend operating and maintenance procedures to insure proper function of equipment.
• Train customer staff in proper methods to maintain and repair the equipment.
• Write field reports for submission to the customer and internal departments outlining problems encountered, action(s) taken, and future recommendations.
• When appropriate, make recommendations to improve field methods and/or efficiency.
• Submit expense statements according to Metso's travel policies and procedures.
• Carry out other service‑related tasks as a member of Metso's Service Group as may be requested by the Field Service Manager.
• Travel (both domestic and international) may be required as needed.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.

Qualifications

• Millwright certification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in field service.
• Valid Canadian passport.
• Valid driver license.
• Ability to lead, plan, and organize field service assignments.
• Motivated, customer oriented.
• Good communication skills, mandatory fluency in English, oral and written.
• Fluency preferred in French, oral and written.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings in the English and Metric System.
• Product knowledge of Metso's equipment.
• Adequate computer skills, capable of working with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes e‑mail.
• Willingness to travel to job sites including for extended periods, up to 70 % of the time as may be required to meet customer’s needs.
• Capable of carrying out duties under pressure with the potential for 16‑hour workdays.
• Willingness to respond to field service emergency calls on a 24‑hour/7‑day basis.
