Description

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Service Manager, in this role you will plan and execute, with minimal professional guidance, complex technical field assignments involving the installation, modification, overhaul, troubleshooting, test, inspection, repair of High Voltage Circuit Breakers and other High Voltage equipment up to 800kV. Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments typically on remotely operated maintenance and testing equipment.

  • Deliver excellence by providing exceptional services in installation, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, both remotely and on-site.
  • Anticipate and exceed customer expectations with a proactive approach to customer support.
  • Identify and resolve electrical or mechanical issues independently as a troubleshooting pro.
  • Spot and develop new sales and business opportunities to drive growth.
  • Suggest product and process enhancements to boost operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage field service projects, providing direction and insightful analysis.
  • Work flexible schedules in diverse environments and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Assemble and operate advanced field service test equipment.
  • Conduct tests, compile data, and resolve operational issues to solve problems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills demonstrated as technical expertise.
  • Trade education and experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical fields; a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven field service experience.
  • Hands-on experience with high voltage equipment up to 800kV.
  • Proficient in electrical testing and circuit breaker maintenance.
  • Experience with Power Utilities.
  • Experience coordinating and leading electrical projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office and test equipment software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work in the US, Canada and Mexico.
  • Willingness to travel (80%).
