Our Field Service Technicians act as the face of STERIS by ensuring top-notch service for our customers. In this customer-facing, field-based role, you will travel to hospitals, laboratories, surgical facilities, and other customer locations to maintain, troubleshoot, service, calibrate, and install complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic units. You will also build positive relationships with customers and colleagues, and complete necessary administrative tasks.

Responsibilities of a Field Service Representative

• Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication and resolving issues efficiently.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS products and related equipment safely and effectively, including disassembly, replacement, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, and certification.
• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, or refurbish equipment and system components.
• Ensure a positive customer experience by providing timely maintenance, service calls, warranty work, upgrades, and installations.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with customers, managers, support teams, and sales.
• Identify sales opportunities and recommend STERIS products and services.
• Provide prompt and informative updates to customers.
• Represent STERIS positively at customer sites.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required :

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of mechanical/technical experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and all required vaccines.
• Ability to travel to the USA for training.
• Flexible working hours and travel as needed.
• Strong technical, organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and handle changing priorities.
• Willingness to work in hospital settings, including emergency environments.

Preferred :

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or related field.
