Job summary

Siemens Energy Canada is seeking a Field Service Project Manager to support regional field projects. You will sell then plan, coordinate and manage installations, maintenance or revamps of rotating equipment, steam turbines and generators.

The role requires 3+ years of PM experience, MS Project/Primavera proficiency, and travel up to 30% within Canada and abroad. Based in Oakville, Ontario, with a competitive CAD salary range and strong benefits.

A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a Field Service Project Manager to support the Region in the development of field projects that align to the regional strategic growth objective. The Project Manager will help sell then plan, coordinate and manage field operations projects for the maintenance installation or revamps of rotating equipment, steam turbines, generators and compressors.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Provide customers with technical solutions to operation and maintenance problems with special emphasis on promoting the use of available field operation technology
• Develop technical and commercial proposals for maintenance overhaul schemes to customer requirements
• Discuss negotiate and finalize significant and unique proposals and any change orders with customer in cooperation with legal and senior management when applicable
• Provide a single point contact for each assigned field operation project on behalf of Siemens Energy
• Responsible for coordinating and managing deliverables from the different parts of the business including parts, technical support field service, tooling procurement, shipping, and 3rd party services
• Develop and maintain a robust relationship with a customer by continuously demonstrating the effectiveness of the managed approach to field operation projects
• Develop and manage project execution schedules.
• Directly manage the assigned field operation project contracts to ensure costs are minimized revenue is maximized and margin and operation income are in line with or exceed expectations

What You Bring

• BS or BA in related discipline or advanced degree (Project management certification is a plus)
• 3 or more years of experience in related field
• MS Office suite skills specifically MS Project and/ or Primavera is a must
• Ability and willingness to work irregular hours based on projects requirements
• Ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally as needed (~30%)
• Travel up to 30% - up to 3 to 4 weeks at the time.

This job is based in Oakville, Ontario. Siemens Energy offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness, paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position is 90k to 120k.

Gestionnaire de projet, Service sur le terrain

Nous recherchons un responsable de projet de service sur le terrain pour soutenir la région dans le développement de projets sur le terrain qui correspondent à l’objectif de croissance stratégique régionale. Le gestionnaire de projet aidera à vendre les projets d’exploitation sur le terrain, puis planifiera, coordonnera et gérera l’installation, l’entretien ou la remise en état de l’équipement rotatif, des génératrices, des turbines à vapeur et des compresseurs.

Un aperçu de votre journée

• Fournir aux clients des solutions techniques aux problèmes d’exploitation et d’entretien, en mettant particulièrement l’accent sur la promotion de la technologie disponible sur le terrain.
• Élaborer des propositions techniques et commerciales pour les scénarios de révision de l’entretien en fonction des besoins du client.
• Discuter avec le client de propositions importantes et exclusives ainsi que d’ordres de modification, les négocier et les finaliser en collaboration avec les Affaires juridiques et la haute direction, le cas échéant.
• Offrir un point de contact unique pour chaque projet d’exploitation sur le terrain qui lui est attribué pour le compte de Siemens Énergie.
• Assurer la coordination et la gestion des produits livrables des différentes parties de l’entreprise, y compris les pièces, les services de soutien technique sur le terrain, l’approvisionnement en outillage, l’expédition et les services de tiers.
• Développer et entretenir une relation d’affaires solide avec le client en lui démontrant en permanence l’efficacité de l’approche de gestion des projets d’exploitation sur le terrain.
• Élaborer et gérer les calendriers d’exécution des projets.
• Gérer directement les contrats des projets d’exploitation sur le terrain qui lui sont attribués de manière à réduire les coûts au minimum et à optimiser les revenus, en s’assurant de répondre aux attentes ou de les surpasser sur le plan des bénéfices et des revenus d’exploitation.

Ce que vous apportez à l’entreprise

• B. Sc. ou B.A. dans un domaine connexe ou diplôme de niveau supérieur (la certification en gestion de projets est un atout)
• 3 ans ou plus d'expérience dans n domaine similaire.
• Aptitude à utiliser la suite MS Office, et plus spécialement les logiciels MS Project et/ou Primavera
• Capacité et volonté de travailler à des heures irrégulières, en fonction des exigences du projet
• Disponibilité et volonté de voyager au Canada et à l’étranger selon les besoins (~30%).
• Déplacements jusqu'à 30 % - jusqu'à 3 à 4 semaines à la fois
