Job Summary

Responsible for performing customer support activities for equipment, systems, and sub-systems at customers' offices or at a service center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Repair, test, calibrate, and install laser systems, sub-systems, and/or sub-assemblies.
2. Report potential problems impacting timely completion of tasks, equipment shortcomings, and complex equipment issues to supervisor or senior technician.
3. Maintain complete and accurate service records.
4. Interact with customers and monitor accounts.
5. Provide on-site technical support to customers, workshops, and shows as required.
6. Provide remote technical support through call center on non-scheduled service days, if applicable.
7. Complete physical inventory when asked.
8. Maintain and manage remote service center, if applicable.
9. Maintain company vehicle, tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
10. Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
11. Develop positive relations within sales and service teams and enhance product knowledge.
12. Maintain excellent customer relations skills.
13. Perform product alignment and certification to specifications.
14. Maintain a minimum number of service recalls.
15. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
16. Embodies and delivers the "Exceptional Everyday" standard.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field, or equivalent experience (3 years).

Experience

2 to 5 years relevant experience, specifically in troubleshooting medical electronics equipment in the medical device industry.

Skills

• Technically oriented with preferred hands-on laser technical experience.
• Familiar with computers, DOS, Word, and Excel.
• Understanding of customer needs in a medical environment.
• Ability to work independently.

Physical Demands

• Sitting, using hands for objects, tools, or controls.
• Standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying products weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Overnight travel up to 50%, possibly international.
