As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and servicing of all Elekta products within Ireland.

What You’ll Do at Elekta

Would you like to be part of our driven global team, where we aim to attract and invite the best talents to Elekta? We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Order Fulfilment & Service Organization.

This is a home-based role with travel requirements throughout Ireland, as directed by the Irish Regional Service Manager.

Engineers receive work assignments from the UK office or the Regional Service Manager and are expected to work independently to complete tasks. Issues are escalated to the UK office if necessary.

Activities include planned maintenance, emergency repairs, upgrades, installations, courtesy calls, and telephone support from the UK or remote locations. Jobs may be completed within a day or require overnight stays. Occasional travel outside Ireland may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Possess excellent knowledge and skills in electronics, mechanics, PCs, networking, high vacuum, high/low voltage, diagnostic equipment, and general engineering disciplines.
• Ability to fault find and repair at the board level and below.
• Manage own workload effectively.
• Be highly motivated, dynamic, with good leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Have a strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills.
• Ensure high-quality care and attention to customers throughout the sales and service process.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and promptly, following quality system standards.
• Be flexible to work at times and locations based on customer and company needs.
• Provide feedback to the Service Manager regarding problems, solutions, or opportunities.
• Carry out corrective maintenance independently within acceptable timescales, escalating issues as needed, and maintaining ownership until customer satisfaction is achieved.

What You Bring

• Minimum HNC or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
• Completion of relevant Elekta technical training courses up to 3rd line.
• Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, networking, and IT technologies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in a service environment.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and complete assigned work.
• Demonstrable drive and commitment to Elekta’s goals. Clean driving license.
