As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and servicing of all Elekta products within Ireland.

What You’ll Do At Elekta

Would you like to be part of our driven global team, where we aim to attract and invite the best competences to Elekta? We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join our Order Fulfilment & Service Organization.

This is a home-based role with a requirement to travel throughout Ireland as required and as directed by the Irish Regional Service Manager.

Engineers are informed by the office in UK or the appropriate Regional Service Manager which work needs to be undertaken, and are then expected to work under their own initiative to complete the tasks appointed. If necessary, problems or issues are escalated to the office in UK.

Activities include planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, courtesy calls to local customers, and telephone support either from the UK office or remotely. Jobs can be completed within 1 day or may require the engineer to be away from home for several days. Occasional travel outside of Ireland may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Have excellent knowledge and proven skills in electronics, mechanics, PCs, servers, networking, high vacuum, high/low voltage & current, diagnostic equipment, and a general knowledge of engineering disciplines.
  • Fault find and repair at board level & below.
  • Manage own workload effectively.
  • Be highly motivated, dynamic, with good leadership skills & problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ensure high-quality care and attention to all customers throughout the sales and service process.
  • Complete administration requirements in accordance with the quality system accurately and timely.
  • Be flexible to work at times and locations dictated by customer and company needs.
  • Provide feedback to the Service Manager on problems, solutions, or opportunities.
  • Carry out corrective maintenance independently within acceptable timescales, escalating issues as necessary, and maintaining ownership until customer satisfaction.
What You Bring
  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
  • Completion of relevant Elekta technical training courses up to 3rd line.
  • Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, networking. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in a service environment.
  • Proven ability to manage own environment and complete assigned tasks.
  • Drive and commitment to Elekta and the tasks at hand. Clean Driving License.
