Job summary

SECURE in Edmonton, Alberta, seeks a Field Sales Representative – Hazardous & Industrial Waste to drive new business across Western Canada. You will prospect, qualify, present, and close opportunities while collaborating with Operations to ensure exceptional customer experiences and project execution.

You will travel regularly in the Heartland and Western Canada regions, build relationships with key clients, and contribute to SECURE’s growth through strategic market development and strong

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of sales and marketing experience in the hazardous & industrial waste sector.
  • Hands-on operational exposure with field logistics and service execution.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and drive revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and drive full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Collaborate with Operations to deliver customer-focused solutions in Western Canada.
  • Build strategic partnerships and expand market presence in Heartland and Western Canada.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders to support growth.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Regulatory, and Admin for seamless service delivery and quotes.

Your Opportunity at SECURE

As our Field Sales Representative – Hazardous & Industrial Waste, you play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and driving the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. This requires a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences to both prospective and existing clients. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Operations team to foster a positive, high‑energy culture. A strong community presence and the ability to build lasting relationships are essential to success in this position.

This role is based out of Edmonton, Alberta and is responsible for supporting the Heartland area, along with broader Western Canada business development activities as required.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, high‑energy team that works closely across Sales, Operations, Regulatory, and administrative functions to deliver seamless, customer‑focused solutions. Work Environment

Based out of Edmonton, Alberta, this role operates in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment that balances independent work with frequent collaboration across teams and clients. The position requires regular travel, flexibility, and comfort working both in the field and in office settings while supporting customers across the Heartland area and Western Canada.

A Day in The Life
  • Lead high‑impact business development initiatives across Western Canada, with a focus on expanding into national accounts within the Canadian industrial waste management sector.
  • Engage with prospective clients to uncover operational needs and deliver customized solutions aligned with their business objectives.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships to strengthen SECURE’s market presence and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to proactively identify and capitalize on new revenue‑generating opportunities.
  • Foster and maintain long‑term relationships with key clients, industry influencers, and stakeholders to support business continuity and growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to support the full sales cycle—strategic planning, contract negotiations, logistics coordination and accurate quote generation.
  • Consistently demonstrate and promote SECURE’s mission and core values in all professional interactions and decision‑making processes.
  • Maintain expert‑level knowledge of SECURE’s facility offerings (e.g., all‑weather pads, metering systems, facility acceptances) and understand the company’s competitive advantages within the region.
  • Develop and actively manage a Personal Development Plan that aligns with individual growth aspirations and broader organizational goals.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Regulatory, Administrative, and Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and superior customer satisfaction.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum of 3‑5 years of sales and marketing experience within the hazardous & industrial waste sector
  • Hands‑on operational experience, with a solid understanding of field‑level logistics and service execution
  • Previous exposure to oil marketing is considered a strong asset
  • Established network of industry contacts is essential to success in this role
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and foster a collaborative, team‑oriented work environment
  • Proven track record of successful sales performance, exceptional communication skills, and strong customer relationship management
  • Highly self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); comfortable working with digital tools and platforms
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling technical presentations when required
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
  • Willingness and flexibility to work outside standard business hours as required
  • Self‑driven and proactive in staying ahead of market trends and new business activity while nurturing existing client relationships.
