Field Sales Merchandiser

As one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for a savvy Field Sales Merchandiser for the greater Vancouver area to join our growing team!

We currently have a great opportunity where you will be a strategic partner bridging between our Buying & Sales teams and our customers. Working at store level with our customer, you as our Field Sales Merchandiser, will help merchandise Fresh Direct produce items, ensuring our products are displayed and replenished to optimize attraction and sales. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative and will have strong communication skills, and solutions-driven focus.

We have full-time and part-time availability.

Primary responsibilities include:

1. Following planograms, create visually appealing displays of diverse Fresh Direct produce items.
2. Inspect incoming produce delivery for freshness, quality, and adherence to food safety standards, and proactively check inventory levels and place customer orders in a timely manner.
3. Assist customers with questions, provide information about products, and offer recommendations.
4. Analyze sales data, trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth in the produce department.
5. Communicate and build relationships with customers and employees to ensure that we are exceeding customer expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Fluent in spoken and written English.
2. A minimum of 1 year solid hands-on experience working with fresh produce is ideal.
3. Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills are key.
4. Able to lift a maximum of 30 lbs.
5. Effective business writing skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs.
