This position is based out of Grande Prairie, AB, supporting Ovintiv's Alberta Montney Production Operations. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with the first and third Fridays off.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day expertise, support, and coaching on all EH&S matters.
• Support operations proactively through inspections, meetings, training, and education.
• Reactively support operations via incident investigations, emergency response, and safety leadership.
• Innovate and propose solutions to EH&S challenges within the Operating Unit.
• Conduct critical task hazard assessments, including confined space entry documentation.
• Champion the Ovintiv EH&S management system and guide staff on responsibilities.
• Support the internal inspection and audit program, conducting scheduled checks to assess risks and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of EH&S experience, including 2+ years in oil and gas.
• Knowledge of production operations and risk assessment skills.
• Self-motivated with sound judgment and thoroughness.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and facilitate solutions.
• Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Working knowledge of Alberta environmental regulations and OHS legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; field travel required.
• TapRoot investigation training and safety professional designation are assets.
