Job summary

Nabors in Canada is seeking a Drilling Construction Supervisor to own project delivery, lead the Drilling Maintenance Team, and oversee planning and execution of rig integrity.

The role requires strong knowledge of rig equipment, safe lifting operations, and experience reading GA drawings, P&IDs, and piping ISOs. Offshore certifications, BST, H2S, WHMIS, and a high school diploma are essential. 7+ years in drilling/construction and 5+ years in supervision are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Must be able to obtain Offshore certifications.
• BST, H2S, Installation Safety Induction, Regulatory Awareness, WHMIS.
• Should have at least 7 years of work experience pertaining to drilling/construction/engineering.
• Should have at least 5 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Own project delivery and support Drilling Maintenance Team planning and execution for rig integrity.
• Identify and understand functionality of rig equipment and ensure safe lifting operations.
• Read and interpret GA drawings, P&IDs and piping ISOs; interface with project schedules and allocations.

Job description

The Drilling Construction Supervisor takes total ownership of Project as assigned by providing support and expertise to Drilling Maintenance Team with planning and execution of rig integrity.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities expected for this position.

• - Able to identify and understand functionality of various rig equipment.
• - Knowledgeable and proficient in basic rigger’s role to ensure safe lifting operations are performed.
• - Knowledgeable of mechanical systems and be skilled at working with hand and power tools.
• - Must have the capacity to work effectively under critical path timelines and complex situations.
• - Can demonstrate knowledge of the following operations:

Dropped objects prevention

• - Line of fire, zone of exclusion and safe zone operations

• - Must have good verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate in English with staff, management, customers and vendors.
• - Must possess sound reasoning skills, common sense and the ability to follow directions.
• - Must possess basic mathematical skills (equivalent to a high school education) and be proficient in rig math.
• - Ability to read and interpret General Arrangement drawing, P&IDs and Piping ISOs.
• - Familiarity interfacing with Project Schedules and Resource Allocations
• - Education, experience, and certifications:
