Job summary

Waiward Industrial LP seeks a Field QA/QC Level 2 Inspector for the LNG Canada site in Kitimat, BC. You will oversee field inspections, verify welds, flange management, and material receiving against codes and client specs, ensuring turnover packages are complete.

The role requires CSA W178.2 Level II, NDE knowledge, and strong documentation skills, with a day shift on a 5-on/2-off schedule. Pre-access tests and LNG Canada requirements apply.

Qualifications

• CSA W178.2 Level II Welding Inspector certification with current visual acuity.
• 0
• Knowledge of CSA W59, CSA W47.1, and ASME B31.3.
• Experience in construction and/or maintenance quality inspection (mechanical, piping, structural, welding).
• Knowledge of NDE methods: RT, UT, MT, PT.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate quality documentation.
• Effective communication in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Word and Excel.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
• Must pass LNG Canada site access pre-employment checks.
• Certifications may include CSTS 2020, CSO/BSO, Fall Protection.

Responsibilities

• Display commitment to Waiward's incident-free culture and quality objectives.
• Support implementation of project quality requirements and ITPs.
• Maintain continuous quality control for maintenance, turnaround, and construction activities.
• Perform field inspections verifying compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Support welding inspection activities and material receiving inspections.
• Verify material traceability and quality records for turnover.
• Identify and help resolve quality issues via NCRs, RFIs and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and turnover packages.
• Collaborate with supervision, trades, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework and improve quality.
