Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited seeks a Field Operations Coordinator to support the Mississauga-based Southern Ontario projects. You will assist with execution, manage costs and schedules, and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.

The role requires collaboration with Project Managers, knowledge of safety requirements, and the ability to coordinate permits and trades on site. PMP is an asset and 1–2 years in operations or facilities management is preferred.

Qualifications

• University or college degree in construction engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, building operations, and/or skilled trade accreditation.
• PMP Designation is considered an asset.
• 1–2 years’ experience in operations or facilities management industries.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement projects in accordance with Corporate Policy, with PM involvement.
• Procure pricing for supplies and materials.
• Assist with estimating and preparing proposals.
• Coordinate permits, schedules, subcontractors, and trades.
• Onsite setup of safety controls, site delineation, staged equipment and deliveries.
• Conduct safety orientations and walkthroughs with onsite personnel.
• Collect and track timesheets, pre-job hazard assessments, Project Safety Plans.
• Equipment asset management.
• Attend and participate in client and stakeholder meetings.
• Conduct project closeouts and site demobilizations.
• Provide availability for on-call rotation.

Black & McDonald’s Southern Ontario FMO team is growing! The Project Coordinator is located in Mississauga, ON and typically reports directly to the Operations Manager.

The Field Operations Coordinator will assist with the execution of several facilities management projects. They will assist with the overall performance, including the management of costs, schedule, and onsite compliance while maintaining excellent relations with the employees, subcontractors, consultants and our clients.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• University or college degree in construction engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, building operations, and/or skilled trade accreditation.

The expected salary range for this role is between $60,000 - $65,000 per year. The starting salary will be determined based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience. Base pay is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package.
