Job summary

W.W. Grainger, Inc. is seeking Branch Sales Associates to connect with walk-in customers, drive sales, and provide excellent service. You will select products, process orders, and assist customers with knowledge and a winning attitude in a fast-paced branch environment.

The role emphasizes customer loyalty, daily sales targets, and safe handling of equipment. You will work within branch hours and may need to visit customer sites when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1+ years experience in related field preferred.
• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the entire customer experience, including product selection, order entry, and loading customer vehicle as needed.
• Focus on branch sales to capitalize on opportunities and drive revenue targets.
• Learn and navigate various computer systems and applications for customer facing and warehouse tasks.
• Shift focus between assisting customers and branch tasks including warehouse/showroom duties safely.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain Grainger standards.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this role ranges between $x-$y, with eligibility for an incentive target of $1,800.00 / % which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

Branch Sales Associates provide solutions and easily connect with branch walk-in customers. The Sales Associate objective is to capitalize on sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations by using their guidance, knowledge, computer acumen, and winning attitude. You Will

• Ownership of the entire customer experience. This includes appropriate product selection, accurate order entry and maintenance, accurately and safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicle as needed.
• Consistently performs actions with branch sales focus to capitalize on sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty to deliver revenue targets
• Learn and easily navigate through various computer systems and applications for customer facing and warehouse activities
• Agility to shift focus seamlessly from assisting customers to other various branch tasks including performing warehouse and showroom related tasks safely for pickup or shipping
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed to ensure branch appearance meets Grainger standards

You Have

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred
• 1+ years experience in related field preferred
• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
• Own your personal development, accept feedback, and be proactive with your leader to support your growth
• Ability to work in a position requiring:
• Continuous standing and walking.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted on a regular basis
• Ability to safely learn and operate powered industrial equipment
• Successful and timely completion of initial and ongoing training as required
• Other branch support duties as assigned according to business needs
• The position may require you to attend at our customers' sites. Some customers may have alcohol and drug screening policies for on-site contractors and vendors. You may be required to submit to such customer screening procedures as and when requested as a condition of being permitted on such sites.
