Job Purpose
The Field Nurse Case Manager (FNCM) plays a vital role in supporting patients with dermatological diseases to improve their health outcomes and quality of life. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Patient Support Programs within Medical Affairs, the FNCM manages the daily nursing and administrative operations of the patient support program (PSP) within their territory, representing Sun Pharma and collaborating closely with the PSP team.
Responsibilities
- Support physicians and patients by assisting with enrollment and reimbursement processes, including completing paperwork and following up on drug coverage submissions.
- Educate physicians and their staff about PSP services.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and service entities to deliver comprehensive support and resolve issues.
- Assist with completing forms such as Special Authorization, enrollment, and prescriptions.
- Provide continuous updates to physicians regarding their patients.
- Customize program elements to meet the needs of assigned physicians, adapting to clinical and remote requirements.
- Participate in scheduled physician meetings and conduct regular visits to medical offices.
- Manage key performance indicators within the territory.
- Act as a liaison between PSP and external clinical staff.
- Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders both in person and virtually.
- Work with PSP and clinics to secure funding for therapies.
- Adhere to company performance standards and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
Report adverse events related to company products to pharmacovigilance on the same day or within one business day.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with current registration in Quebec.
- At least 2 years' experience in Patient Support Programs or similar.
- Ability to engage effectively with physicians and their staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of PIPEDA and confidentiality in patient environments.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Previous case management experience is an asset.
- Understanding of provincial/private coverage, authorization processes, and navigating drug coverage in Canada is an asset.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, tablets.
- Fluent in both French and English, verbal and written.
Working Conditions
- Based in Montreal with field visits required.
- Must have a private home office with high-speed internet and equipment supplied by Sun Pharma.
- Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and willingness to travel extensively.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays as needed.
