Job summary

AbbVie (Allergan Aesthetics) is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison in Canada to establish and maintain professional scientific relationships with the healthcare community. You will develop and deliver disease and product education programs to enhance patient outcomes and awareness among healthcare professionals.

The role requires doctoral-level education and strong communication skills in both English and French, with regular travel within Canada.

Qualifications

• Regulatory knowledge of HC, FDA, PAAB, Rx&D, PMPRB and other requirements
• Public speaking and scientific storytelling
• Pharmacology and pharmaceutical principles
• Statistics in clinical studies
• Basic research and mechanism of action

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with key thought leaders, regional advocates, healthcare organizations and government contacts
• Provide accurate and up-to-date scientific information to support product and disease strategies
• Build rapport with medical professionals and their clinic staff
• Represent Allergan at national and regional meetings and congresses
• Collaborate with Medical Advisor in developing sponsored symposia and speaker bureaus
• Identify and engage advocates for clinical trials, symposia and advisory boards
• Follow up on investigator-initiated research proposals and publications
• Assist in training sales and business personnel
• Develop territory routing to support medical information needs
• Maintain budgetary control of medical expenses
• Complete administrative responsibilities on time
• Ensure activities comply with laws and regulations
• Conduct Round Tables with KOLs/HCPs in their region
