Job summary

AECOM Buildings + Places seeks a Mechanical Field Engineer to join our Burnaby, BC team. You will design and deliver building systems for light industrial projects, including water and wastewater facilities, and work with multidisciplinary teams from planning to commissioning.

Hybrid work is available with travel to project sites as needed. The role requires a BC-licensed PE or eligible candidate, strong technical coordination, and effective client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with four years' experience designing HVAC and plumbing for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineer licensed in British Columbia.
• Equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including duct and pipe sizing and equipment selection.
• Lead mechanical discipline on-site during construction to ensure design intent and contract compliance.
• Coordinate with design and field teams; review drawings, RFIs, and change requests.
