Job description

The Field Marketing Specialist (FMS) is responsible for aiding in the planning and execution of RedBull’s field marketing initiatives, with the mandate of creating the most locally relevant face of our global brand, reporting into the Field Marketing Manager (FMM). Major responsibilities will include directly managing a group of Student Marketeers (SMs) in product sampling and seeding on campus, and across key occasions in order to grow the user base and drive trial. In addition to SM management, the FMS will support & execute of owned (RedBull titled/branded) events and supported events, while fostering new and existing partnerships that resonate with a local consumer. The FMS will also support the Event Vehicle program within the region, alongside the FMM. Overall, the FMS will drive awareness and consumption of RedBull, and deliver an outstanding RedBull experience to consumers through every event/activation in the field.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Ownership of recruitment, training, and management of a team of university students to make RedBull an integral and relevant part of a student’s life.
  2. Coaching, motivating, and mentoring Student Marketeers to ensure a positive consumer experience and adherence to best practices.
  3. Setting clear goals with the CCM and FMM to drive trial, engage new and infrequent users, and support sales and events.
  4. Understanding the student landscape and building tailored campus plans in line with the national strategy.
  5. Increasing physical availability on and off campus through distribution initiatives.
  6. Managing partnerships with external stakeholders to increase product trial and awareness.
  7. Overseeing daily operations of SMs, ensuring KPIs are met, and enhancing student engagement.
  8. Creating and implementing regional marketing plans aligned with the national strategy.
  9. Understanding regional sports and culture trends to identify business growth opportunities.
  10. Establishing relationships with opinion leaders and influencers in the region.
  11. Managing external partners to boost product trial and awareness.
  12. Leading and developing the performance of Student Marketeers.
  13. Collaborating with HQ teams to leverage regional and national initiatives.
  14. Developing business plans that enhance brand love and reach.
  15. Supporting regional programming, including logistics and inventory management.
  16. Managing budgets and forecasts for activations and travel.

Qualifications include:

  • Fluent in French and English.
  • At least 2 years of experience in event marketing.
  • Proven skills in negotiation, partnership management, and budgeting.
  • Strong understanding of the regional sports and culture landscape.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Leadership qualities, initiative, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • University degree in Marketing, Events Management, or related field.

Travel requirement: 10-20%. This is a permanent position with benefits. The base location is Montreal, Québec, Canada.
