Job summary

Suncor in Calgary is seeking a Lodging Planning Advisor to develop accommodation strategies, demand forecasts, and capacity plans that support our oil sands operations and major projects. This role emphasizes analytics, stakeholder collaboration, and practical solutions to evolving business needs.

Collaborate with Operations, Projects, and Supply Chain Management to optimize occupancy, travel coordination, and camp operations.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in workforce logistics, accommodation planning, travel management, hospitality operations, supply chain, workforce planning, or a related field.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Hospitality, Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting workforce accommodations, travel coordination, camp operations, or hospitality planning is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions across multiple business groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop accommodation demand forecasts, capacity plans, and lodging strategies to support operational, turnaround, and project requirements.
• Analyze utilization, occupancy trends, and workforce demand to identify risks and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Projects, Supply Chain Management, contractors, and lodging providers to align accommodation plans with business needs.
• Support long-range planning, scenario modelling, and capacity strategies to inform business decisions.
• Leverage analytics, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve forecasting accuracy and planning effectiveness.
• Prepare recommendations and planning insights that support leadership decision-making.

Minimum Requirements

Location and other key details

• This is an office-based role. You will work out of the Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
• Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
