Job summary

AmerisourceBergen in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Field & Infusion Nurse (RPN/LPN) to administer medications and oversee IV therapies in clinic or homecare settings. You will coordinate with physicians, case managers, and scheduling to ensure timely treatments and patient education.

The role requires at least 2 years of nursing experience, provincial licensure, CPR, and ability to travel within the region. Strong communication and autonomous work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate.
• Experience with IV therapy is an asset.
• Able to travel within designated IBUs and surrounding IBUs.
• Autonomous as part of a larger team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications (IM, SC and IV) in home or specialty clinic settings.
• Support/monitor administration of IV infusion treatments in clinic/homecare settings.
• Monitor post-infusion treatments and document activities per program protocols.

Coordinates with clinical, operational, reimbursement, and logistics partners to resolve standard exceptions and maintain continuity across connected service and care workflows.**Responsibilities:*** Administer medications (IM, SC and IV as applicable) in home or specialty clinic settings* Support/monitor administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting* Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments as well as chart and report on all activities as directed by program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation* Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups* Report adverse events, serious adverse events, product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures* Provides reliable availability based on the agreed upon employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics Key Performance Indicators.* Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information* Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering and other duties as assigned* Participate regularly in team web-based meetings/training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.* Participates in specialized client related trainings as required.* Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product specific programs* Required to travel within you’re designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet the operational needs.* Required to follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and Work Instructions.* Required to follow all Health and Safety standards as per the provincial Health and safety Act.* Required to complete ongoing and annual education training as per the training matrix within the specified timeframes.* Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by the professional associations, regulatory bodies and the company policies and procedures* Perform related duties and tasks as required by Innomar.**Education:*** Bachelor's degree in nursing, clinical practice, health sciences, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.* Professional license or registration in nursing in the applicable jurisdiction of practice required. Certification in clinical services, care coordination, patient safety, or equivalent preferred.
