Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
  • Assess and monitor pre- and post-injection / infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
  • Complete necessary documentation based on policies and procedures, and as directed by the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation standards.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups.
  • Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures.
  • Ensure reliable availability based on the employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics KPIs.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, and other departments to meet timelines for appointments and treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to set up appointments and coordinate drug delivery to home and clinic.
  • Participate in team web-based meetings and training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain professional standards.
  • Participate in specialized client-related trainings as required.
  • Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations and Innomar.
  • Work collaboratively within the healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation of tasks to RPN / LPN as authorized by provincial college of nurses.
  • Travel within designated IBUs and surrounding areas to meet operational needs.
  • Follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Follow all health and safety standards as per provincial regulations.
  • Complete ongoing and annual education and training within specified timeframes.
  • Perform other duties as required by Innomar.
  • May be required to be on standby / on call to meet service needs.

Experience And Educational Requirements :

  • Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse required.
  • At least 1 year of IV initiation experience required.
  • Current registration with a licensing body and CPR certification required.
  • Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient / outpatient, or homecare setting preferred.
  • ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA certifications, and experience with central venous lines / ports are assets.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and other computer programs.
  • Access to internet connection, cell phone, and fax machine.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel within the geographical area.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements :

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
  • Business and financial acumen is an asset.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Organizational, attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Self-directed and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and insurance coverage.

The successful candidate may have daily contact with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
