Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
  • Assess and monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
  • Complete necessary documentation based on policies and procedures, and as directed by the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation standards of practice.
  • Provide patient/caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups.
  • Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures.
  • Ensure reliable availability based on the employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics KPIs.
  • Communicate and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams (case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, etc.) to meet timelines for appointments and treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to set up appointments and drug delivery to home and clinic.
  • Participate in team web-based meetings/training sessions to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.
  • Participate in specialized client-related training as required.
  • Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations and Innomar.
  • Work collaboratively within the healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation of tasks to RPN/LPN as authorized by provincial college of nurses.
  • Travel within designated IBUs to meet operational needs.
  • Follow all nursing and clinic SOPs and Work Instructions.
  • Follow all health and safety standards as per provincial laws.
  • Complete ongoing and annual education training within specified timeframes.
  • Perform other duties as required by Innomar.
  • May be on standby/on call to meet service needs.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse required.
  • 1 year experience in IV initiation required.
  • Current registration with licensing body; CPR certification.
  • Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare setting.
  • ACLS, PALS, MS, CVAA certifications, and central line experience are assets.
  • Proficient in MS Office, internet, and other applicable computer programs.
  • Access to internet connection and cell phone for communication and appointment management.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel within designated areas.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
  • Business and financial acumen is an asset.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management, ability to meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Valid, non-expired driver’s license and insurance.

The candidate may have daily contacts with English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
