Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
- Assess and monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation based on policies, procedures, and standards set by the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation.
- Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar policies and procedures.
- Ensure reliable availability based on employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and key performance indicators.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to meet scheduling and treatment timelines.
- Coordinate with patients and caregivers to set up appointments and drug delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to maintain professional standards.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and work collaboratively within the healthcare team.
- Travel within designated areas to meet operational needs.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and health and safety standards.
- Complete ongoing education and training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Innomar.
- Be on standby/on call as needed.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Registered Nurse with relevant experience required.
- At least 1 year of IV initiation experience.
- Current registration with a licensing body and CPR certification.
- Experience in critical care, emergency, inpatient/outpatient, or homecare settings.
- Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, MS, CVAA are assets.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and internet access.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel as required.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
The successful candidate may have daily contact with English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
