Responsibilities
  • Administer medications (IM SC and IV as applicable) in home or specialty clinic settings
  • Support / monitor administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and / or homecare setting
  • Monitor post-injection / infusion treatments as well as chart and report on all activities as directed by program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation
  • Provide patient education based on program protocols individually or in groups
  • Report adverse events serious adverse events product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures
  • Provide reliable availability based on the agreed upon employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics KPIs
  • Coordinate daily with patients case managers physicians scheduling and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments treatments and communication of information
  • Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits supply ordering and other duties as assigned
  • Participate regularly in team web-based meetings / training sessions with the Business Area Manager RNE and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards
  • Participates in specialized client related trainings as required
  • Consult with physicians pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product specific programs
  • Required to travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet the operational needs
  • Required to follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and Work Instructions
  • Required to follow all Health and Safety standards as per the provincial Health and safety Act
  • Required to complete ongoing and annual education training as per the training matrix within the specified timeframes
  • Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by the professional associations regulatory bodies and the company policies and procedures
  • Perform related duties and tasks as required by Innomar
  • May be required to be on standby / on call to meet the service needs
Experience and Educational Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Practical Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Experience with IV therapy is an asset
  • Diploma / University degree in nursing or related field
  • Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate
  • Experience in acute care inpatient / outpatient or homecare setting
  • ACLS PALs MS and CVAA Certification and central venous lines / port experience are considered assets
  • Knowledge of cell phone for making and confirming appointments / assignments and fax machines
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team
  • Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
  • Cell phone for making and confirming appointment / assignments
  • Flexibility to provide services for pre-scheduled and occasionally last-minute patient appointment requests
  • Effective organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in both a team and independent setting
  • Able to travel within a geographical boundary
  • Hold and maintain a valid non-expired unrestricted driver's license and insurance coverage

The successful candidate may have daily contacts with unilingual English-speaking customers patients or peers from cross-functional teams.
