Field Geologist

This role is based in Vaughan, Ontario.

Please note for this Field Geologist role candidates must have 5+ years of proven Field Geologist experience in Ontario.

Your role within the team:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute ground investigations for transportation, infrastructure and mining projects.
  • Install and monitor geotechnical instrumentation.
  • Downhole permeability testing.
  • Collaborate with teams to further technological and digital advancement.
  • Work on large projects with other groups such as Hydrogeological, Environmental and Geomatics cross training as required to achieve common goals.
  • Adhere to rules and procedures that ensure the health and safety of employees and the environment as well as the prevention of workplace incidents.
  • Be proactive in improving HSE policies and procedures to mitigate hazards related to your work.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience or Geological Engineering and 5+ years of related experience.
  • P.Geo. designation.
  • Ability to work and travel throughout Ontario with the potential for out-of-province assignments.

  • Willingness and proven ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Ontario class G driver’s license is a requirement.
