As a Field Engineering Specialist, you will:
Showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.
Provide valuable service to laboratory customers within your assigned territory.
Offer routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.
This is a field-based role in Texas. The ideal candidate will reside within 50 miles of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Travel Requirements: Up to 75% travel, including overnight stays, some holidays, and weekends.
High school diploma and 2 years of technical school, military training, or equivalent work experience.
5 years of experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking, OR a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field plus 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
Ability to travel, including overnight stays.
8+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's plus 4+ years of experience.
Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, IT, and basic chemistry.
Ability to serve as an internal technical resource, support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Note: Relocation benefits are not available for this position.
The salary range for Texas is $68,900 to $127,900. Actual pay depends on experience, qualifications, location, and other factors. A discretionary annual bonus may be available. Benefits details are provided at the link below.
