The Role:

As a Field Engineering Specialist, you will:

  1. Showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.

  2. Provide valuable service to laboratory customers within your assigned territory.

  3. Offer routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.

  4. Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.

  5. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.

  6. Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.

Location & Travel

This is a field-based role in Texas. The ideal candidate will reside within 50 miles of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Travel Requirements: Up to 75% travel, including overnight stays, some holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and 2 years of technical school, military training, or equivalent work experience.

  • 5 years of experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking, OR a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field plus 1-2 years of relevant experience.

  • Training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.

  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's plus 4+ years of experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, IT, and basic chemistry.

  • Ability to serve as an internal technical resource, support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Note: Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for Texas is $68,900 to $127,900. Actual pay depends on experience, qualifications, location, and other factors. A discretionary annual bonus may be available. Benefits details are provided at the link below.
