Position Summary:
  • Stockholm Precision Tools (SPT) is a global leader in borehole trajectory measurement technology.
  • We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Field Engineer to join our dynamic operations team in Canada.
  • This role involves providing technical support to clients in the field, ensuring proper tool performance, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • The Field Engineer will play a key role in our service delivery, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment at customer locations.
  • Conduct tool training for colleagues and customers, and contribute to technical documentation and records.
  • Follow daily plans for tool repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure calibration and quality control documentation is maintained according to SPT standards.
  • Monitor operational parameters during job execution to maximize tool efficiency and prevent damage.
  • Prepare service reports and project documentation for clients and internal use.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, consumables, and spare parts.
  • Maintain clear communication with field clients and conduct customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Comply with local and company safety procedures including JSA, permits to work, hazard assessments, etc.
  • Complete all assigned technical and safety training.
  • Participate in QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) incident investigations and audits.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Assist with technical sales and participate in trade events.
  • Ensure secure handling of documentation and data.
  • Collaborate with other divisions when needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electronic Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related role.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Measurement services.
  • Basic mining and drilling principles.
  • Interpretation of technical and electronic engineering drawings.
  • CRM (medium – advanced level).

Languages:
  • Advanced level of English (any other languages desired).
