Job summary

Ganotec, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, seeks an Entry Level Field/Office Coordinator/Engineer in Oakville, Ontario. You will support field operations, interpret drawings, prepare work plans, schedule material deliveries and assist with takeoffs, gaining experience across multidisciplinary construction projects.

This position offers a fast‑paced, learning‑driven environment with exposure to design‑build, EPC and turnkey work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or college degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
0–2 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Field Operations: work with superintendent, interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft, prepare work plans and work packages, order and schedule material deliveries, ensure the quality of field operations.
Office Coordinator: perform takeoffs from drawings, generate change orders, build schedules, track costs, provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations.
Estimating: perform takeoffs, review and analyze data relative to the project, complete plans and specification reviews for projects, assist with the preparation of a bid.
