PowerON is seeking a Field Engineer to support design review, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting on bus depot, commercial fleet, and shore power electrification projects. This hands-on role spans design, construction, and operations across Canada.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical field engineering, familiarity with MV/LV systems, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 50% and a 6‑month contract with potential extension to 12 months are included.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in electrical field engineering, testing or commissioning.
• Working knowledge of MV/LV systems, switchgear and transformers.
• Familiar with protective relay settings and protection coordination.
• Experience with standard electrical test equipment (Megger, Hipot).
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel up to 50% across Canada.

Aufgaben

• Support design preparation for bus depot, commercial fleet, and shore power electrification sites.
• Review designs for constructability, reliability, and O&M perspectives.
• Provide input on protection schemes for safe, reliable operation.
• Manage design changes during construction and prepare drawings.
• Support FAT/SAT procedures for major electrical equipment.
• Supervise OEM commissioning activities and electrical contractor testing.
• Diagnose issues on site and coordinate across OEMs and contractors.
