Key Responsibilities
- Meet daily with project crews to review production schedules and ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available.
- Participate in safety toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
- Coordinate and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, and project data to ensure quality and compliance.
- Provide technical input for project planning and identify potential risks.
- Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections; document activities.
- Notify team of schedule changes and propose solutions.
- Manage project costs and ensure accurate reporting.
- Review project specifications for quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work with crews and engineers to plan field layouts and obtain permits.
- Coordinate subcontractor work and manage change orders.
- Reconcile project close-out documentation and take ownership of Certificates of Completion.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Field Engineer or Project Coordinator in heavy civil construction.
- Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, and standards.
- Proficiency in construction software (Primavera, AutoCAD, SAP) and MS Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in both field and office environments.
- Experience with design-build projects is a plus.
The expected pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per annum.
