Job summary

Broccolini is seeking a Field Coordinator to join our Ottawa team. You will coordinate between Site Superintendent and trade labour, maintain logs, prepare communications, and manage site documentation to support project delivery.

The role requires a post-secondary diploma in a related field, at least 3 years of experience, strong organization, and excellent MS Office skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with safety responsibilities and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of the construction field.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office; tech-savvy with various computer software.

Responsibilities

• Act as the liaison between the Site Superintendent and trade labour force.
• Maintain the daily construction log in conjunction with the Site Superintendent.
• Prepare and maintain various site communication/documentation with head office and site.
• Prepare and maintain various files for purchaser agreements (PA).
• Coordinate municipal inspections, Tarion and/or professional inspections.
• Maintain familiarity with WHMIS, WSIB and OHS safety responsibilities and duties.
• Attend and participate in site meetings, prepare meeting agendas, record meeting minutes and prepare them for distribution as directed.
• Conduct physical checks on the labour force and record individual activity on time sheets.
• Calculate labor hours per activity and submit time sheets to the office.
• Obtain labor requirements from the Site Superintendent and coordinate sign-on of laborers when required.
• Allocate daily tasks to laborers according to the Site Superintendent's instructions.
• Order supplies according to requirements and submit requisitions for non-standard items to the purchaser.
• Arrange for supplies to be delivered and compare delivery notes against the bill of quantities and actual quantities delivered.
• Check material requested versus quantity allowed, and maintain inventory of required materials.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, including temporary storage on site.
