Job summary

Armtec Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator (Bilingual – French & English) to join our St-Clet manufacturing team.

This role will spend ~80% of time in the field coaching frontline staff, implementing safety programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance across Quebec and Western Canada. You will lead investigations, manage CNESST and WCB claims, and serve as a primary contact during regulatory inspections, while collaborating with operations and safety committees to drive continuous

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
• CRSP designation (or actively pursuing) is a strong asset.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable OH&S legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing workplace investigations, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work programs.
• Willingness to travel ~10% within Quebec and Western Canada.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental programs that support operations and regulatory compliance.
• Spend the majority of time in the field coaching, mentoring, and supporting frontline teams.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to reduce risk.
• Lead or support incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage CNESST and WCB claims and provide guidance on modified/work return-to-work programs.
• Act as primary contact during inspections or investigations by regulatory agencies.
• Co-chair Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and support committee effectiveness.
• Coordinate and facilitate monthly safety meetings, audits, and inspections.
• Promote employee engagement and accountability in safety.
