Job summary

ERM is hiring Junior Field Archaeologists to join our archaeology and cultural heritage team in Vancouver and the surrounding area, Smithers, BC, or Whitehorse, YT. This is a full-time, limited-term role for a duration of 9 months, renewable.

You will work with our team to complete archaeological field surveys as part of our global consulting firm. Responsibilities include field reconnaissance, surveys, and excavation; and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Anthropology (with a focus in archaeology) or in Archaeology preferred.
• 0-3 years of archaeological survey and impact assessment experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in field studies including field reconnaissance, field surveys, and excavation for archaeological studies.
• Visually inspecting the land surface for presence of archaeological and historic built resources.
• Compliance with corporate Health and Safety requirements.
• Performing other duties as assigned or required.
