Job summary

Hoymiles in Canada seeks an experienced technical support engineer to assist residential and commercial/industrial ESS customers, from pre-sales solution support to post-sales service. You will collaborate with sales, distributors, EPCs and installers to capture requirements, design configurations, interpret SLDs and BOMs, and provide remote or on-site support, ensuring CSA compliance and interconnection readiness.

Travel within Canada will be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical support, application engineering, system engineering or field service in solar PV/ESS.
• Experience with residential and C&I solar-plus-storage systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts, and technical docs.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills.
• Familiarity with Canadian electrical standards and grid interconnection preferred.

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Experience working with distributors, EPCs, installers, or renewable energy partners.
• Familiarity with Canadian electrical standards and grid connection requirements is preferred.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Canada as required.
