About the Job

We’re looking for a Field Application Engineer to support the deployment and performance of PSA Group’s products through close collaboration with business development, technical support, and account teams. In this role, you'll provide system-level insights, troubleshoot technical challenges, and independently drive testing initiatives—from identifying issues to gathering critical data. Ideal candidates are hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer support and technical execution.

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

  • Support pre- and post-sales technical activities including product integration, testing, and customer troubleshooting
  • Work closely with Business Development and Technical Support to provide on-site product demonstrations and issue resolution
  • Conduct system-level analysis, RF testing, and hardware validation using tools like spectrum analyzers, power meters, sweep testers, and drive test software
  • Identify testing requirements and independently gather technical data from the field
  • Maintain professional and responsive communication with internal teams and external clients
  • Interpret schematics, function block diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Deliver timely reports, customer feedback, and testing summaries to internal stakeholders
  • Travel to customer locations as needed (up to 50%)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent military/industry experience
  • Strong background in system-level and wireless technologies; experience in other field application domains is a plus
  • Strong understanding of RF theory and hands-on experience using RF testing tools such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, sweep testers, and drive test software
  • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of electronic systems
  • Proficient in reading schematics (SCH) and interpreting function block diagrams
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational communication skills
  • Comfortable interfacing directly with customers and internal teams, maintaining a professional presence and working independently when needed
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer visits, field support, and on-site collaboration.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
