Job description

We are currently seeking a Field Truck and Coach Technician to join our Peterbilt Dealership in Whitby. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Truck & Coach based equipment and attachments in a field environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on road equipment.
  2. Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  3. Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
  4. Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken.
  5. Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards.
  6. Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  7. Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel.
  8. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
