Overview
This role is responsible for the project management of luxury residential design projects. Responsible for project planning, organization, timeline management as well as sourcing, procuring, quoting and negotiating the delivery of FF&E for all projects.
Responsibilities
- Create, plan and manage project schedules to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain and track multiple projects from start to completion.
- Select and source products or develop custom work for FF&E – case goods, upholstery, drapery, purchased items and fabric.
- Assemble all quotations for RFPs and RFIs and ensure accuracy.
- Tender work for Millwork and Stone.
- Create and maintain vendor relationships and source new suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating the best purchase price.
- Create and maintain samples of products from key manufacturers.
- Work with suppliers to obtain pricing quotes, delivery dates, and shipping information; negotiate trade discounts, payment terms and ensure product availability.
- Organize transportation, freight logistics, deliveries, and installations.
- Ensure all project details adhere to the company’s design and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, Project Management or equivalent.
- Strong project leadership skills and excellent communication skills with the ability to manage various large projects.
- Minimum 5 years of design work experience with demonstrated specialisation in FF&E Design.
- Strong product knowledge of furniture, fabrics, accessories, art, drapery, decorative lighting, and finishes a must.
- Experienced in using a variety of research and product resources to seek out future trends, review new products and innovations.
- Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and millwork packages.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal, written, and design articulation.
- Accustomed to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-oriented environment with the ability to manage priorities, adapt to changes, and learn quickly.
- Software Skills: AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada - holding Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Resident status or a valid work permit. Ability to work outside of Canada would be an asset but not a must.
