Ferrous Scrap Logistics Manager

We are working with a Ferrous Trading House looking to hire a Ferrous Scrap Operations Manager to join the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Manage, mentor, and supervise the US operations team in all aspects of trade execution.
• Manage and improve the internal business operational procedures and paperwork processing by streamlining, standardizing, and automating the operational processes.
• Manage and develop the team to create a customer-focused organization that develops strong relationships with the commercial teams, customers, and mills.
• Train and assist operations to liaise with stevedores, warehouses, trucking companies, and other logistics service providers to coordinate day-to-day operational activity.
• Ensure monthly warehouse reports are received, aging inventory is optimized, and true up with the stock information in the system.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• In-depth knowledge of customer service and operation management.
• Experience in the design and implementation of new operations procedures.
• Customer focus with good communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-management - manages own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals.
• Staff management – coordinate staff management in ways that improve their ability to succeed on the job and enhance teamwork.
