Job summary

POWERGROUP Resources is seeking a Fencing Foreman to lead field crews on fencing projects in Ontario. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, you will actively contribute in the field, guiding and coaching your crew while ensuring safety and quality.

You will manage tasks, coordinate with management, track progress, and maintain organized sites. A valid driver’s license is required; experience leading crews and installing various fencing systems is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of fencing, construction, landscaping, or related experience.
  • Crew leader, foreperson, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license; AR license considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily crew activities.
  • Assign tasks and manage workflow to maximize productivity.
  • Execute fencing work according to project plans and specifications.
  • Assist with installation of wood, chain link, silt, and other fencing systems as required.
  • Operate hand and power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform digging, post setting, measuring, layout, and other skilled labour as required.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company safety policies.
  • Enforce proper PPE usage and safe work practices.
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure company standards are met.
  • Train, mentor, and support crew members.
  • Communicate project updates, material needs, and site issues to the Project Supervisor.
  • Track daily production, labour hours, and project progress.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and make sound day-to-day operational decisions.

Position Summary

The Fencing Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day execution of fencing projects in the field. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, you’ll lead and coordinate the crew, assign daily tasks, operate heavy equipment, and work alongside your team to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to company standards.

This is a working leadership position—not a supervisory role from the sidelines. You’ll be expected to actively contribute in the field while providing guidance, coaching, and support to your crew.

Key Responsibilities
