Duties and Responsibilities:

Working on a variety of sites including residential, commercial and renovation projects.

The key job functions are:

  • Preparing work sites by clearing, levelling and marking layouts
  • Building the deck, including framing, support posts, decking, railing and stairs
  • Use of a variety of tools including but not limited to drills, circular saws, levels, tape measures and hammers.
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship
  • Remove debris, site clearing and adhering to safety regulations
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with clients

Education:

  • High School or Equivalent (asset)

Qualifications:

  • Valid driving license with reliable vehicle
  • Able to pass a RCMP check (asset)
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2+ years’ of fence/deck building is required

Skills:

  • Knowledge of a variety of power tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Strong communication and friendly disposition
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Reliable and presentable

Work Hours:

  • Work hours will vary depending on the assignment details and employers’ needs. This information will be confirmed at the time of your interview or offering of assignment(s).
