Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? We're looking for a resilient and adaptable Female Support Worker to join our locality in Suffolk, providing support across homes in Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Garboldisham and Stowmarket. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys building positive relationships with different people and teams.

You’ll be supporting people with learning disabilities, autistic people, and people with complex needs who may also require specialist support due to behaviours of distress across a number of supported living homes, so you’ll need to be confident adapting your approach and providing personalised support wherever you’re working. As a floating Support Worker, you’ll be comfortable travelling between locations and quickly becoming part of different teams, ensuring continuity of high-quality support for the people we support.

  • Administering or supporting with medication.
  • Working alongside families, healthcare professionals and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Promoting communication, choice, control and decision making.
  • Supporting people who may display behaviours of distress and require a consistent, skilled approach.
  • Keeping accurate records using digital systems.

This role requires full flexibility. You will work a combination of days and waking night shifts including weekends and bank holidays. There are no fixed shift patterns, so you’ll need to be comfortable working across both days and waking nights depending on the home needs.

About You

We're looking for candidates with experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people who may have complex behavioural and communication support needs, mental health needs, or require specialist support due to behaviours of distress.

To be successful in this role, you’ll:

  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays - pro rata)
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday.
  • High Street Discounts - Retail and Entertainment (supermarkets, hospitality, pubs, cinema etc.)
  • Life Assurance and Company Pension
  • Industry leading training
