Reporting to the Superintendent, the Feeder Cable Splicer is responsible for splicing high voltage and secondary network systems (power cables used in underground distribution). This position installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems.
This role is full-time and unionized with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 258 and is paid in accordance with IBEW rates.
Location: Lower Mainland, British Columbia
With over four decades of experience serving Western Canada, Pacific Electrical Installations (PEI) provides maintenance, construction, and emergency and live line restoration services for critical electrical infrastructure and is the designated powerline service provider to BC Hydro for the Lower Mainland South and Okanagan regions. PEI works alongside local BC Hydro crews to support transmission and distribution infrastructure including trouble response, maintenance, system improvement, end-of-life asset replacement and customer-driven construction programs.
PEI also works with Fortis BC, municipalities, and several private sector customers in the areas of mining, forestry, telecom and private development.
The expected pay range for this position is between $61.91/hr - $72.44/hr.
