Job summary

BC SPCA in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) for a temporary, full-time position at 35 hours per week. The RVT will collaborate with veterinarians and the hospital care team to provide high-quality, low-stress patient care, assist with surgeries, perform lab duties, dispense medications, and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities include maintaining medical records, inventory, instrument care, and administrative duties to ensure smooth hospital operations

Qualifications

• Completion of CVMA-accredited RVT program and BCVTA registration or equivalent.
• Experience delivering high-quality customer service to a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong organization, time management and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with low-stress handling and medications.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and assist with surgeries.
• Maintain medical records, lab work, inventory, and equipment.
• Educate clients on care and discharge instructions.
• Support clinicians and ensure high quality of care.
