Job Title: Field Data Capture (FDC) Support Business Analyst

Type: Inc-Contract or T4-Contract (1 year with possibility for extension)

About the Opportunity

Airswift is seeking an experienced Field Data Capture (FDC) Support Business Analyst to join our Process Data Information Management & Measurement team in Calgary, AB. This role supports Field Data Capture operations across Canadian Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil assets. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between field operations and data systems, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of production data.

This is a hands-on role ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative individual with a strong understanding of upstream oil & gas production and data systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily business support for Field Data Capture (FDC) systems, focusing on production data, application configuration, and master data.
  • Ensure data integrity by working with stakeholders to meet data quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, configuration, or reporting issues across systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for complex and high-priority FDC issues.
  • Optimize FDC applications including CGI-PM Suite, Energy Components, and Intricate FFVS to deliver reliable operational data.
  • Maintain master file data to ensure compliance with regulatory volumetric reporting requirements.
  • Analyze field data for reporting, decision-making, and integration into other corporate systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Accounting, Environmental, and IT to resolve data issues and meet business requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison to technical support teams, ensuring alignment between business needs and system functionality.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in upstream oil & gas production.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline; Technical diploma, degree, or CAPPA certification preferred.
  • Proficient with SQL and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Visio).
  • Strong experience with Field Data Capture systems, especially CGI PM Suite (PVR/GFR).
  • Familiarity with web-based applications utilizing Oracle databases.
  • In-depth understanding of field operations, upstream accounting, and production workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with provincial regulatory directives (AB & SK), including:
  • DIR 17 – Measurement Requirements
  • DIR 60 (AB) / DIR 36 (SK) – Venting, Flaring, and Incineration
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with system integration projects or cross-functional business transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with production reporting and volumetric compliance standards in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
  • Knowledge of energy industry data governance practices and change management processes.
