Responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for disinfecting pens, barns, and poultry houses.
• The candidate must be able to handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must organize tasks in order to accomplish the work.
• The candidate must perform livestock feeding.
• The candidate must perform pig littering tasks such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identifying piglets, and castration.
• The candidate will be responsible for treating livestock health issues.
• The candidate will be responsible for weaning.
• The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
• The candidate must ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
• The candidate must keep livestock performance records.
