Job summary

Job Bank in Woodstock, ON is seeking a permanent, full-time farm worker to care for and manage livestock and poultry. The role requires handling animals, maintaining pens, and monitoring health in a fast-paced farm environment.

Starting as early as February 15, 2027, the job includes shifts across mornings, days, evenings, and weekends with overtime available. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and be able to work on-site at the location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals.
• Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses.
• Handling animals.
• Monitoring animal health.
• Perform livestock feeding.
• Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration.
• Weaning.
• Feed and tend animals.
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry.
• Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops.
