Job summary

Clintar Landscape Management is urgently hiring Farm Tractor Operators for the 2026/2027 Winter Season. Positions are on-call, often overnight, with standby pay and potential for permanent roles after winter.

You will join a dedicated ice and snow management team serving commercial properties across the region. Candidates must be available 24/7, including holidays, and have experience with John Deere 6150/5100, a valid Ontario G license, and a smartphone for LMN-based timesheets.

Qualifications

• Available on call 24/7 during winter season, including holidays.
• Experience operating John Deere 6150 and 5100 preferred.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
• Reliable smartphone with active data plan to submit timesheets via mobile app.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to snow and ice events, including overnight calls.
• Operate tractors to clear snow and move it to designated storage areas.
• Protect customer property and maintain safe, clean work sites.
• Follow site maps, route books, and LMN system.
• Communicate with supervisors and dispatch regarding conditions and progress.
• Report equipment malfunctions, hazards and safety concerns promptly.

Clintar Landscape Management is hiring Farm Tractor Operators for the 2026/2027 Winter Season. Join our dedicated ice and snow management team, focused on efficient clearing and de-icing operations. These are on-call positions, often overnight, and dependent on winter conditions. Candidates must be available on short notice, 24/7, including weekends and holidays. We service commercial, industrial, and institutional properties throughout the region. For suitable candidates, there may be opportunities for permanent employment at the end of the Winter Season.

• Tractor Operators experienced with John Deere 6150 & John Deere 5100 Farm Tractors

Compensation

• $30 to $35 (based on experience) plus $150 to $250 weekly standby pay for the Winter Season (standby is based off experience)

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Must be available on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the winter season, including Christmas and statutory holidays. (Extra $$ Bonus for working over holidays)
• Respond promptly to snow and ice events, including freezing rain, overnight calls, and extended shifts
• Safely operate equipment to clear snow and move it to designated snow storage areas according to site-specific requirements
• Protect customer property, vehicles, landscaping, curbs, and other site features while maintaining safe, clean work sites
• Follow site maps, route books, and site-specific instructions using the LMN system
• Communicate with supervisors and dispatch regarding site conditions, work progress, delays, equipment issues, and incidents
• Report equipment malfunctions, hazards, property damage, and safety concerns promptly to your Winter Supervisor
• Experience operating farm tractors in snowy conditions is a strong asset.
• Experience with John Deere 6150 and 5100 is preferred
• Must be able to drive STANDARD
• Must have a reliable smartphone with an active data plan to access LMN and accurately submit daily timesheets through the mobile application
• Must demonstrate good judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe equipment operation and excellent customer service
• Must follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
• Must report to work alert, fit for duty, and free from impairment that could affect the safe operation of equipment
• Must possess a valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a good driving record when operating vehicles
